TUES 25 JULY 2023The Phillip Adams VCA Mentorship Award offers a formal mentorship/internship for a graduating student from the Victorian College of the Arts, facilitated by Artistic Director, Phillip Adams. The Mentorship seeks to identify and foster new talent among Australian dancers and choreographers. A VCA graduate himself, Adams has devoted over 25 years of teaching and mentoring to successful alumni.

For seven years, at Temperance Hall we have supported the creative community through employment, commissions, festival programs, residencies, exhibitions and professional development programs, providing opportunities to hundreds of artists each year. One of my proudest achievements has been establishing a home in support of LGBTQIA+ creatives – the first of its kind in Australian dance history.
We are hellbent on staying afloat, but we need your help to continue.

WE ARE HIRING – VENUE & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Mon 1 May 2023The Venue and Communications Coordinator (VCC) will join our small and dynamic team – comprised of the Artistic Director (AD), Executive Producer (EP) and Program Producer (PP) – to support the organisation’s diverse operations and help deliver our annual program.
The VCC works within a busy and vibrant organisational environment, interacting with a diverse range of artists and creatives from the independent dance and experimental arts communities in Melbourne. This part-time position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our heritage building and will oversee the organisation’s various administrative tasks.

To complement and enhance existing skillsets, experience is sought in fundraising, philanthropy, marketing, finance, legal and governance. Applications are encouraged from women/gender diverse persons, people living with a disability and those who identify as First Nations, Black/POC and LGBTIQA+. Individuals with strong personal or professional connections to artistic practice are invited to apply.
