Suitable for all fitness levels, these hour-long sessions combine yoga and dance with traditional exercise to wake you up and get your day started. Imagined as a creative and aerobic trip through the venue, this instant performance is where the museum becomes the stage. Museum Moves invites the public to experience the museum in the most physical way possible.
"We warmed up by stretching in the shadows of the massive whale vertebrae and made moves in the Wild room with hundreds of stuffed animals seemingly watching on. The railing in the Forest Gallery was used for barre ballet moves, and we cooled down among the trees as the sun came up." -Zoe Powell, Herald Sun, 2017
Devised by Phillip Adams with teachers Jo Lloyd and Deanne Butterworth.
The next Melbourne Moves series will occur in 2018 - stay tuned for booking info and further details.
